Wafaa Al-Muhsenin Charity in Palestine and Syria concluded its works of distributing the school bags and stationery to the students.

Wafaa Al-Muhsenin Charity concluded last week the distribution of school bags and stationery to over 2,000 students in the Gaza Strip, Jerusalem and on the borders of Syria for supporting the educational process and assisting the poor and refugee families.

The Chairman of the Charity Mr. Abdullah Al-Astal said: “The distribution areas were carefully selected according to the needs and the poverty and unemployment rate. The Gaza Strip is going through a severe humanitarian and economic crisis as well as the sustainable harsh siege, and also our Syrian and Palestinian refugees in Afrin are suffering from the unfortunate Syrian events that led to the destruction of houses and the collapse of the health sector, educational and basic living conditions.”

On the importance of the project, Mr. Abdullah Al-Astal said: “The Charity is largely interested in education because it believes that it is the basic right of students, no matter how bad the circumstances are, and he referred during the field visits to that we saw students carrying books in their hands but they are unable to buy bags and stationery, and then we started to provide them as soon as possible.”

In turn, Wafaa Al-Muhsenin Charity thanked the generous donors who live in the Arab and Islamic countries for giving their trust and supporting the poor and needy families. It is also expressed its gratitude to the Turkish AFAD Foundation and the Turkish Red Crescent for their cooperation and facilitating access to Syria to deliver the bags to the beneficiaries.
