Wafaa Al- Muhsenin Charity in the past few days concluded drilling a water well in Al-Hodeida governorate in Yemen to support the population in their plight by a donor from the Sultanate of Oman.
The Charity stated: “Yemen is currently witnessing the worst humanitarian crisis in the world, and it is the poorest country in the Middle East according to the statistics of international organizations which warned from the risk of widespread famine.”
The Charity added: “these crises and conflicts focused on the water sector, where the population suffer from the shortage of water resources and the difficulty of obtaining it. There are also many demands on the water wells due to the internal migration between the cities of Yemen.”
The Charity continued by saying: “So we dug the well with a depth of 50 meters to reach the groundwater, and then we installed the water pump and the necessary water supplies for the benefit of dozens of families adjacent to the well and the people in the camp who came from other cities. The solar panels also were installed to ensure the continuation of pumping water for the longest number of hours during the day.”
The Charity declared: “We are preparing to implement several charity relief projects in the coming days in Palestine, Yemen and Syria as part of the annual warm winter campaign, and we also appeal to donors in order to contribute and denote for the success of the campaign and relief the poor from the severe cold.
