In response to the urgent needs of the people in Gaza, Wafa Al-Muhsinin Foundation, in partnership with Sabilie Foundation from Algeria, installed a solar power system to operate a water well serving a residential neighborhood in southern Gaza Strip.
The foundation stated, “For months, electricity has been completely unavailable in the region, leading to numerous problems, notably the inability to operate water wells, which are a lifeline for the residents.”
“We have managed to install solar power systems for 9 wells, and we will intensify our efforts, especially as many displaced individuals wish to return and settle despite the rubble of their homes. The lack of water is a major obstacle,” the foundation continued.
The foundation affirmed its ongoing humanitarian duty, currently preparing shelters and distributing food parcels and vegetable baskets, in addition to gearing up for the upcoming Qurbani season.
