Amid the destruction of most water networks by the occupation and a severe crisis affecting residents, Wafaa Al-Muhsineen Charitable Foundation has begun drilling a water well in Rafah Governorate as part of its ongoing efforts to provide safe drinking and daily-use water for the people of Gaza.
This initiative comes in response to the growing need for water, as securing it has become one of the biggest challenges facing Gaza’s residents, especially with the destruction of infrastructure and the increasing reliance on wells as a primary water source.
The foundation affirmed that this project is part of a series of continuous initiatives to address the water crisis and alleviate the suffering of the residents. It noted that it has drilled and maintained 36 wells in the sector during the aggression and confirmed that work is ongoing to drill more wells and maintain the damaged ones to ensure clean water reaches as many people as possible.
