Within the framework of #watering #projects, #IHVEDER #Charitable #Foundation opened the Al-Hamd station for the #desalination and #purification of drinking water, in southern #Gaza .
The opening was attended by a number of #official and #legal #persons, headed by the #mayor of Khan Yunus, representatives of the institutions of civil society, and the #beneficiaries #neighborhood residents from the #project.
“It gives particular #attention to watering projects in Gaza, due to the high #salinity of #water and #inefficiency to drink according to #WHO reports,
which forcing the population to purchase #water, that in turn increases the #burden on families while under under continued #siege of Gaza,” Wafa said.
“The location of the station was carefully chosen according to several #data, the most important is population density and absence of other nearby stations, as well as the economic situation of the neighborhood residents, noting that the station’s operating capacity is 12 thousand liters of water #daily.” Added
In turn, the attendees and neighborhood residents thanked the philanthropist group, for their continued support for various projects in #blockaded Gaza.
