As winter approaches and the displacement crisis in Gaza worsens, Wafaa Al-Muhsinin Charity Foundation has begun manufacturing and preparing tents to provide shelter for displaced families. This project responds to the growing need for housing, especially with border closures preventing the entry of ready-made tents into the region.
The foundation stated, “The tents are being made by the displaced people themselves, using simple local materials, to overcome the severe shortage of tents. So far, 100 tents have been produced, but with the harsh winter approaching, the demand is increasing, with hundreds of families requesting new tents for protection from the cold and rain.”
The foundation highlighted that the project aims to alleviate the suffering of displaced families living in extremely difficult conditions, lacking adequate shelter to face the coming winter. The foundation is working hard to expand the project through fundraising to meet the rising demand and provide much-needed protection for vulnerable families.
